Covera Card Solutions is proud to offer the United Way Pennies for ChangeÔ program. This program allows your members to donate one penny every time they use their credit or debit card to make a purchase. These pennies are then donated to United Way to support the communities you serve.

By participating in the program, your credit union will receive broad, nationwide exposure, positive public relations and most of the financial benefits of a traditional affinity card program. Additionally, you will provide your members an easy way to give back to their local communities.

How it works:

This is a partnership opportunity, not a donation request. This program will let your members donate one penny to United Way each time they use your credit card or debit card. That’s it!

  • No corporate contribution: United Way’s Pennies for Change is a donation from your members to United Way. Partner financial institutions do not pay any participation or sign-up fees to United Way.
  • No privacy issues: No customer data will be transmitted to United Way. Partner financial institutions will not be required to send individual or aggregate information of any kind.

    As a partner financial institution, United Way of America and your local United Way can publish your organization’s name and logo on it’s printed and electronic materials relating to this program. And, you will be provided with templates for all the materials that you need to get the maximum benefit from Pennies for Change.

  • Materials: United Way provides sample marketing templates so you can easily include United Way’s Pennies for Change Program in your marketing materials or to promote it in your branches to your members.
  • Online: United Way will also publicize all participating financial institutions on their website at www.unitedway.org/pennies
  • Public Relations: Partner financial institutions can publicly announce that they are supporting United Way’s many programs.
