Falcon is a key component in the fight against fraud. Falcon uses a neural network system that tracks individual cardholders, transactions, and merchant data to accurately detect fraud trends. The Falcon system also does all its tracking in real time, meaning fraud can be prevented before it happens. Falcon is capable of blocking fraudulent transactions quickly and is done by using a real time scoring of all transactions to determine the likelihood of fraud occurring. Any transactions that are considered high risk fraud are given a case number and closely monitored by a fraud analyst. Falcon is functional 365 X 24 X 7.

Secured Debit is a solution that has the added enhancement of indemnity. Now member credit unions have the ability to limit their fraud exposure regardless of how often they experience fraud. The indemnity requires a $50 deductible once fraud has been detected on an account and the rest of the loss is absorbed. This tool brings a "peace of mind" that is cutting edge in the fight against fraud.

Address Verification Service (AVS) reduces mail and telephone order fraud by verifying the address of the customer with the billing address.

Card Activation allows issuers to send inactive cards to cardholders with instructions to call an 800 number to activate the card. This ensures, through verifying the identity of the user, that they are the legitimate owner on the account. This fraud solution reduces fraud associated with (NRI) never received issue category.

Card Value Validation 2 (CVV2) and Card Validation Code 2 (CVC2) is a three digit value appearing on the back of the card that provides a cryptographic check of the information embossed on the card. This validates that a member has a genuine Visa/MasterCard in their possession and that the account is legitimate.

Name Mismatch enables the cardholder's name on Track 1 to be matched to the name on the account record during the authorization process.
